+++++: five signs, a Wizard account and the wait for Roaring Kitty

In the replies, five signs are enough

Chillbilly replies with nothing more than “+++++”. Crypto Waterman sends the same signs back. Further down, BongoGuy asks whether the person everyone is discussing is now “Mr Wizard”. On September 21, beneath a post combining GameStop, Roaring Kitty and an old gaming account, readers do not share the same certainty. Yet they already share the same small alphabet. [1] [9] [10]

That motif becomes the identity of +++++ on Solana: no word to pronounce or animal to recognise, just five white crosses against black. Its peak supplied to our editorial team is a $4.47 million market capitalisation on September 22 at 13:42 Paris time. The sequence raises a question: how does activity attributed to a public figure become something traders can exchange before the person behind it has even been confirmed? The screenshot that brings “Wizard” back into circulation

At 01:43 on September 21, Crypto Waterman shares a screenshot of a Wizard profile and claims Roaring Kitty logged in to write the five signs. He connects that activity with a post by Larry Cheng, described as a GameStop director: the quoted September 11 message contains four plus signs. Waterman builds a bridge between four and five, between the share purchases he discusses and the return he hopes to recognise. [1]

A screenshot is a very different object from a public announcement signed by Keith Gill. A profile name, photograph and mood field can support a hypothesis; they cannot establish who controls the account when it changes. Waterman’s post also includes promotional connections with other tokens. We use it as a source for the circulating narrative, rather than confirmation of Roaring Kitty’s return. [1]

On r/DeepFuckingValue, Krunk_korean_kid explicitly frames the interpretation as a theory. Four signs supposedly refer to GameStop insider purchases, with a fifth representing the next expected development. That distinction matters: this is a participant’s reasoning, not an explanation supplied by Larry Cheng or Keith Gill. It nevertheless offers readers a puzzle to continue, with numbers to compare and an allegedly missing piece. [2]

Readers assemble a collective dossier

At 02:43, Vix, @rosebelly, answers Waterman with two images. One is a table headed “GameStop – Insider Purchases & Market Activity”, covering September 8–10. It places names, volumes, a timeline and market events side by side. The other assembles posts. The gesture resembles someone bringing documents to a shared table: here is what we should examine together. [3]

These collages create an appearance of continuity between separate elements. They do not replace regulatory filings as evidence of share purchases or establish the Wizard account’s identity. Their value to this story is what they reveal about participation: organising, connecting and passing material along. Feby later quotes this very reply from Vix while circulating the token’s contract. The GameStop conversation and the Solana market meet through observable acts of sharing. [3] [5]

The contract enters the conversation

On September 21, Cooker congratulates @flipski77 and claims a spectacular run from an early entry. His post links to a callout page containing the exact +++++ address. The gains remain his promotional claims; we do not present them as verified results. The link does, however, identify the token he is discussing beyond a symbol anyone can copy. [4]

Feby poses a less comfortable alternative the same day: will the token reach $10 million before collapsing? He includes the contract and quotes Vix. His use of “rug” describes a possible scenario, not proof of fraud. That mixture of excitement and fear gives the early exchanges their particular tone. Participants appear able to recognise a compelling story while doubting what supports it. [5]

Yume shifts the discussion again. Posting the same contract, this account asks in Chinese about sales by large holders and buyers rushing in without examining the data. The percentages cited were not audited in this reporting. The post nevertheless records a concrete challenge to the narrative: while some participants study signs, another wants them to study token distribution. [6]

A shared symbol, a disputed identity

The stripped-back visual identity helps explain the circulation. Both the logo and banner on DexScreener display only five white plus signs. Anyone can reproduce the entire motif in a reply without an image or translation. Our reading is that this simplicity converts a complicated hypothesis into an instantly recognisable sign: participation becomes possible before everything has been explained. [9] [11]

That ease does not remove disagreement. In a r/Superstonk discussion about a new Mr Wizard profile image, some readers suspect impersonation or a compromised account; others see a familiar style of communicating through memes. None of those comments authenticates the account. The dispute concerns precisely what is missing from the dossier: who is behind the profile, and what do they intend? [7]

It would therefore be misleading to describe +++++ as a token launched or endorsed by Roaring Kitty. The sources establish an association constructed by participants. They also show that association being challenged, including in communities that pay close attention to Keith Gill.

At 14:39, Murad becomes another interpretation

At 14:39 on September 22, y⁷ proclaims that Murad is in +++++. Yet the quoted @MustStopMurad post asks a general question: which coin will inspire films? It is y⁷ who answers by invoking Dumb Money and attaching the Solana contract. The quoted text does not name this token or demonstrate a purchase by Murad. [8]

This new connection appears fifty-seven minutes after the peak time supplied to our editorial team. It belongs to the continuation of the narrative, rather than an explanation of its initial trigger. The same post claims the coin on STONK gives holders GameStop. The market listing does show a Raydium pair with GMEx, named “Gamestop xStock”. That quotation alone does not establish rights to shares, a distribution mechanism or a partnership: those are separate propositions. [8] [11]

The reported $4.47M peak on September 22 at 13:42 is this article’s reference point; the exact maximum has not been independently verified. The contract FPPGF5RNgCvNzqrRqWrkgkL4YQhzqKMNVtD1kWk1ooqg connects the posts to the same asset. Its listing supplies Waterman’s post as its social link but provides no project website, taking the reader back to the narrative preceding the token. [11]

What remains is a way of reading together. Some people count signs, others assemble screenshots, while others ask who is selling or who really controls an account. +++++ turns that collective anticipation into a tradable form. The five characters are certain; the identity and intentions attributed to them are much less so.
